Sara van der Elburg

Hi,

In 2004 I moved with my family to Norway.

Being born (1966 in Rotterdam) and raised in The Netherlands, I am grateful with the opportunity Exto provides, to share my work with family, friends and other art lovers around the world.

Norway is a beautiful country and you will see that it has inspired and challenged me in painting landscapes.

Being an autodidact, I was focused on drawing for a long time.  I love (and have a tendency of getting lost in) details.

I do believe that even in my ‘photographic’ work you can see my handwriting and my love for contrasts, which I like to enhance.

My latest works show that I let reality inspire me, but not dictate me on color use or precision.

Letting go on what I know (I can) is for me a big step forward.

I have only just started ;-)
